POVERTY

This collection aims to shed light on the complex and devastating impact of poverty. I have photographed what I wish was not a topic that exists at all. I have captured people in situations I found confronting while always remaining mindful of individual dignity and privacy. This collection exposes and portrays social inequality and the injustices that plague our modern world. Poverty holds up a mirror to society, it is a serious social issue and I have always used my camera and photography as a political tool to raise awareness and inspire a shift in perspective towards a more compassionate and equitable world. Photography can serve as an act of resistance, cultivating empathy, inspiring action, and fostering meaningful change. It is my aspiration that this collection can add to the ongoing dialogue about building a society that places the wellbeing and dignity of all its members as a top priority. Through my lens, I strive to testify to the dignity and humanity of those who are often overlooked and challenge the dominant narratives that perpetuate poverty. For me, photography is more than just art, it's a powerful political tool for social transformation and I'm committed to using it to create a more just and equitable world.
